Eduardo e Mônica : ウィキペディア英語版 | Eduardo e Mônica
"Eduardo e Mônica" is a song from Brazilian rock band Legião Urbana's 1986 album Dois, released as promo single. It was largely inspired by Bob Dylan, telling the story of youngsters in Brasília who fall in love, despite having nothing in common. == Story == The story revolves around two main characters: Eduardo, a 16-year-old high-school student and Mônica, a med student. Eduardo received an invitation to a party from a guy in his English class and there, he meets Mônica. They chatted and, while she found him amusing, he only thought about going home and not getting grounded by his parents. They exchanged their phone numbers and a few days later they had a date at the city park where their differences are evidenced (like Mônica riding a motorcycle and Eduardo riding a bike, she spoke German and he was learning English, she liked Bauhaus, Van Gogh, Caetano Veloso, Rimbaud and he liked soap-operas and was still on the School-Movies-Club-TV routine). Despite these differences, they liked each other, started to date and to do things together. Eduardo changed, started to grow his hair, learned how to drink alcohol and decided to get a job. Mônica graduated from the med-school at the same time that Eduardo passed the Vestibular (which puts Mônica at the minimum age of 22 when they first met, since med-school in Brazil takes 6 years). They got together, built a house, had twins and lived happily forever.
